We collect this because we cannot quote or place a life insurance policy without it.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website we may automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. This is standard web-server and analytics information.

Information from insurance carriers and vendors. When you apply for coverage, the carrier you apply to may share application status, underwriting decisions, and policy information with us as your agent of record.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years of age.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

respond to your request and answer your questions;
prepare quotes and illustrations and submit applications to insurance carriers on your behalf;
service your policy, including policy reviews, beneficiary updates, and renewal reminders;

operate, secure, and improve our website.

3. Text messaging (SMS) — your consent and how we protect it

If you provide your mobile number and give consent, we may send you SMS text messages about your quote, your application status, appointment reminders, and policy service. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service from us.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except for aggregators and providers of the Text Message services.

4. How we share your information

We share your information only in the limited circumstances below. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your information to lead buyers, marketing partners, or affiliates.

Insurance carriers. To quote and submit an application, we share the information necessary for that carrier to underwrite and issue your policy.
Service providers. We use vendors who help us run the business — for example, our customer relationship management platform, our telephone and text messaging providers, our email provider, and our scheduling tool. They may only use your information to perform services for us.
Legal and regulatory. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or a regulator such as the Maryland Insurance Administration, or where necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Business transfer. If FSI is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services.
